I had in mind to open a Museum of the GuppY (I mean the CMS) : a guppywiki, an encyclopedia of the Fish, an academy of this CMS, a preserve, a shelter, a warehouse, an international parc, a memorial, a zoo, a sanctuary, a will and testament for future generations of guppyst addicts.


You will find here a lot about GuppY : history, projects, downloads. Ancient releases, plugins, forks, scripts, branches and derivations ...

I would like GuppY Story to be a community website. Fed with voluntary contributions and shameless borrowings (though the sources are always quoted).

Manuals are on line, as well as examples of old release of the GuppY (2.4p4 - 3.0p4 - 4.03 - 4.2 - 4.5.19) and even of the MiniPortail (1.0 - 1.4 - 2.1).
The present GuppY is an experimental release of a 4.5 GuppY re-written by Nicolas Alves, just as the one developped on his web site C6GuppY.
A sand box site, Blue Rackham, based on a 4.6x release is accessible by the side box. Meric created a magnificent skin for it, based on a pirat theme.

If you detain some other release of the GuppY, in other languages, patches, updates, forks, links and so on, be so kind as to propose them in the side box "contribute to GuppY Story".

Young CMS GuppY will be 5 years old on December the 30th 2007.
Even if its christian name was Mini-Portail when it was born on December the 30th 2002 and during its early childhood, you can identify from the begining what will be the brave and smart CMS that will be known as Guppy from October 2003 on.

At the time, the licence GPL is a novelty, since there none before. And it will change it for a brand new cecill License from what seems to be the 4.0 release on December the 6th 2004.
